How a spinal energetics session works
Once you arrive, we will have a short consultation. An opportunity for you to share and connect with your needs and set your intentions.
There will be a short physical assessment which includes palpation along the spine.
During the session there will be music playing and you will be laying down. I recommend focusing on your breath and the sensations of your body to enter a meditative state. If your mind wanders, come back to your breath.
I will facilitate the natural and very primal flow of energy in the body, working with light touch on the body and off the body in the energetic field. Sound, breath and movement are a natural part of the unwinding process as the body moves the energy through the energy centres. Releasing stored stress and tension patterns held from within.
Movement is not an indicator of the depth of success of the session, the first few sessions are often about re-establishing the mind body connection. You can still experience powerful shifts without physical movement.
Every session is different and completely unique to each client. The Body is incredibly intelligent and won’t allow a release you can’t handle.
Spinal energetics will leave you feeling:
After your session, it is important to be aware of the potential effects. The tensions your body may release arise from how your body has responded to a mixture of physical, chemical and emotional stress. This means that your response to each session can vary.
You may notice:
- Feeling disoriented or light-headed
- Greater awareness of your body
- Changes in breath during and after sessions
- Areas of ease and or discomfort
- Feeling more energised or feeling exhausted
- Detoxification experienced as nausea, change in bowel movements or headaches
- Emotional releases like crying, laughing and or anger
These are all signs that your system is increasing self-awareness and allowing for more ease and connection. Your body will continue to respond to the session over the next 12 – 72 hours.
